How to uninstall avast antivirus2/17/2023 And I loved avast! as it was almost like a family business years ago where we were really in touch with devs and it felt like users really help them build their AV and it then turned into this massive blob of money grabbing. Coz that seems to be all they care these days to a point I can almost say they lost their ways. Placing all the ethics and decency on a second place to profits. Still, it has damaged their reputation and I wonder if it was worth it. Or just remove browser extensions that were responsible for this. Just make sure you have sharing features disabled. avast! has a good protection and you can keep it imo. It's like first thing I do on every install of every antivirus. In fact I've had data sharing disabled since many years ago except for protection services. This two faced dishonesty of ppl is also annoying.īottom line, I wouldn't go full on panic like everyone is doing. Yet it's hard to find anyone who doesn't use GMail. Like, can you set GMail not to comb through all your mails, all your attachments in them and all your connections there like URL's, logins, passwords and things like parcel tracking numbers. And they've been doing ti on a far larger scale, for far longer with absolutely no option to even opt out. But Google, Facebook and Amazon doing it, eh, no issue. Choose the Avast operating system by clicking on it and then click delete. Avast configuration screen will appear, prompting to confirm the action and start uninstalling Avast. How to Remove Avast Antivirus 1) Click on Start, Control Panel 2) Open Add/Remove Programs 3) Find Avast in the Programs list and highlight it 4) Click. Step 2: Now, you need to click the Uninstall button on the right. In the system configuration window, open the Boot tab. Select the Tools section, look in the list for what you need to delete, choose Avast antivirus or another Avast application. It's just funny how EVERYONE is absolutely mad outraged. Choose the desired option and save the changes by clicking OK. What was annoying is that it was enabled by default and those who didn't disable (most probably), data was collected. Or if you just used their antivirus without browser extensions, same thing. You could be using all their browser extensions and if you disabled data sharing, they wouldn't collect anything from you. As much as I don't like what they were doing, that's straight up lying.
